Meet Emerald
Daughter of the legendary Lux Sensei, Emerald has a lot on her shoulders. Growing up without her father from age six until now has worn on her self-confidence. She is adventurous at heart with a hint of rebelliousness. She is always caught by her mother or grandmother sneaking out of the Light Walker Camp to explore the mysterious Forbidden Forest.
Just 18 years old, she is thrown into a pivotal decision – to leave the forest to save a mysterious voice (Kilian) yelling for help, which is greatly forbidden, or let the savage Equinoi tear him apart.
Meet Grummel
One of the undying Montes Giants. Transformed into rock giants by the Almighty based on their ego and pride - every Montes's stature is in proportion to their pride. Grummel is made of boulders from the upper mountain. He is the smallest of the Montes, but also the wisest. Having known Emerald’s Father, Sensei Lux, Grummel is drawn to her journey. His wisdom is evident, but his humility and joy make him almost childlike.
Meet Kilian
Coming from the Desert of Setra in the west and the son of the leader of the Tenshi Clan, Kilian is not a warrior but has a brave and endearing heart. His quirky sense of humor and big mouth often gets him into trouble. He is torn by a secret he keeps, but at the same time, he is drawn to Emerald’s adventurous spirit and drive to follow the Almighty’s ways. He wants the best for her, but is torn by the secret he keeps inside.

James is an award-winning writer and director who has dedicated over a decade to creating meaningful films. Inspired by the overwhelming response to his short stories about the Light Walker Warriors and the Soulless Citadel, he created the Shibui Universe, an animated world with intertwining timelines and characters.James draws inspiration from humanity's daily struggles—battling insecurity, confronting inner darkness, and finding hope in hopelessness. He aspires to craft stories that ignite a sense of wonder and imagination, citing Hayao Miyazaki as an inspiration for his current writings.
Izaac is an animator with over 6 years of experience in the anime industry. He has been captivated by Japanese animation and manga since childhood. The compelling stories, expressive characters, and powerful emotions in manga and anime have always inspired him to want to create something similar. Something powerful and relatable. Though skilled in drawing and animation, he struggled with writing, which hindered his ability to achieve his goal—until he met James Fazio.
